Best chick You´ll ever have.

It´s Ina´s chick naturally.....  http://www.barefootcontessa.com/
Here´s the recipe : http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/lemon-chicken-breasts-recipe/index.html

Lemon & garlic = going to be good.

I used dried thyme insted of fresh and apple juice insted of
white wine. Also, right as I brought the chick home, I put some
salt on it....intensifies the taste.

Garlic has been cooked in oil, take off the heat add
Apple juice, thyme, oregano, lemon peel, lemon juice and salt.
Smells so good!

Pour in your cooking dish.

Pat chicken breast dry, spread some oil and add salt & pepper.
Put in the dish and add lemon wedges. In the owen 400F / 210C
for 30 - 40min.

Take out, check for doneness and cover with foil
for 5-10min.

Cut & serve to very pleased people. Skin off for the calorie
consious.

Pour some cooking liquid, garlic chunks and balsamic vinegar
on the bread....oy!
Best chicken I have ever had! Thank god for Ina!

By popular demand - meatpie-.

The men folk in this house informed me, that it´s time...
Time for comforting, satisfying meatpie. Am I going to say
no to comforting, satisfying.... in a word....NO.

Puff pastry defrosting on the counter for an hour, shape to your cookie
sheet with a rolling pin, parchment paper under.

Cook your hamburger meat, add spices like ketchup, mustard,
soysauce, salt & pepper. I had some brown rice in the freezer,
defrosted that and had some hard boiled eggs in the fridge......

Mix it all together, add some flour mixed with cream to add stickiness.
Brown rice is better for you, but it does not get sticky, like white rice.

Pour on top of the dough, spread, make sure you get the edges too.

Put the top on and fold edges under, press to seal.

Spread the eggwash on and....

Decorate with fork and poke holes all over for the air to escape.
In the owen 200C or 395F about 30min, look for beautiful brown
color.

Like that.....men folk are circling.

Mmmmmmm......

My mom used to make this and oh, we loved it. I still can´t get
it to taste as good....most likely never will. Some things just taste
better at mom´s! So be it :-)

New surface.

This is lunch today, rye bread, sundried tomato/ cream cheese
spread, salad, cheese and tomato + apple if any room is left :-)

But look under the plate....I went to the hardware store and got
a big chunk of wood, they saw it there if you ask nice. (thanks friendly
man from Lowe´s!) I released all my anger on the poor wood
and painted it after. Looks good to me, I was so tired of my old kitchen
table in every picture...this can be repainted too. FUN!

Lunch...

Was good yesterday!

Chopped up some prepared veggies from the night before
potatoe, cabbage, broccoli stalk and light salami.
(I love the low fat salami, just a little bit will spice up anything.)

Fill the plate with salad.

Cook the veg and salami in a bit of oil. Scrape the bottom
for the tasty stuff.

Drop on top of salad, add low fat cheese and some nuts....
Love it!

Last night was beautiful, must share a look.
